Having always loved traditionally handmade soap and trained as an artist, I was inspired to produce this exciting range of artisan health and beauty products with a truly personal touch.
The name of the business was my grandmother’s, MargaretMay. She was a strong, feisty, independent Somerset farmer’s wife who set up several small enterprises herself. She was familiar with traditional soap making on the farm during her childhood and the war years, and she would have cherished this local artisan ethos.
Every single recipe has been developed and used in my own family home. All products are made in small batches in my kitchen, keeping the packaging simple, reusable, and kind to our planet.
